Top Picks: Best Natural Oils for Hair Growth

One of the easiest ways to maintain healthy hair is to apply natural hair after washing and conditioning your hair.  Although hair oils do not provide the moisture needed for hair growth, it acts as a compliment to seal moisture and repair split ends.

Here are a few of my top picks:

Castor oil is one of my favorite hair growth oils. The properties help strengthen and thicken hair. The benefits of using castor oil includes voluminous, healthier hair. Due to the thick, sticky consistency, I prefer to use the oil in my deep conditioners to boost my hair texture and add volume. Over time, you will notice your hair become fuller and stronger.

Neem oil is a fast, activating hair growth oil that has immediate results if used on a consistent basis. Due to the strong scent, I prefer to use this oil as a hot oil treatment on a wash day. You can also use it as an addition to your dep conditioners. I prefer to wash the oil out of my hair after a few hours and follow up with my favorite moisturizing and styling products.

Coconut oil is perfect for treating split ends and damaged hair. I enjoy using this oil during the summer. It improves the overall texture and strengthens your hair. It is a lightweight oil yet effective sealant oil. I love the scent and it provides maximum sheen. It’s definitely one oil that is I reach for on a regular basis to take out spider or fairy knots.

Bhringraj oil is the latest oil that I just featured on my blog here. Bhringraj oil has many advantages including rapid hair growth, reducing sleeping anxieties and stress as well as dyeing gray hair! It has a cooling sensation similar to peppermint, eucalyptus, or tea tree oil. It’s the perfect Ayurveda treatment to add to your beauty and hair regimen.
